In-Line (PE) Pumps: Large, robust pumps used mainly in heavy-duty commercial vehicles. They have a separate pumping element for each cylinder.
Distributor (VE) Pumps: Compact pumps, typically used in passenger cars and light commercial vehicles. A single pumping element and distributor head supply fuel to all cylinders.
Common Rail System (CRS)
Pumps (CP1, CP3, CP4, etc.): These generate extremely high pressure (up to 2,700 bar in latest versions) and maintain it in a shared Rail. Pressure generation is separated from injection.
Injectors (CRI/CRIN - Solenoid or Piezo): These are electronically controlled to inject fuel with precise timing and multiple small pulses per cycle, which drastically reduces noise and emissions. Piezo injectors offer even faster, more flexible injection control than solenoid types.
UIS (Pumps & Injectors Combined): The high-pressure pump and the injector are combined into a single unit installed directly in the cylinder head for each cylinder. This allows for extremely high pressures (up to 2,200 bar).
UPS (Separate Pump & Injector): Similar to UIS, each cylinder has its own individual high-pressure pump (Unit Pump), but it is connected to a separate Nozzle Holder Assembly via a short high-pressure line.
At Multicorp, our workshop is equipped with the industry-leading Bosch EPS 625 and EPS 100 test benches, guaranteeing highly accurate and professional service. The EPS 625 is our robust platform for meticulously testing and calibrating conventional inline and distributor diesel pumps (including Bosch and Zexel models), ensuring every pump, with up to 12 cylinders, meets manufacturer specifications for fuel delivery and timing. Complementing this is the essential EPS 100 (Injection Nozzle Tester) , which allows our technicians to perform critical checks on nozzle holders for both conventional and common rail systems, precisely analyzing opening pressure, spray pattern, atomization, and leak-tightness with extremely high accuracy. This combination of specialized Bosch equipment allows us to diagnose and repair your diesel components with factory-level precision, restoring optimal engine performance.
